55: Privacy Please

Queuing for the checkpoint, I noticed the NSA was doing its routine download from my phone. The call to my Controller would wait; not that it mattered: the implanted GPS would tell her where I was.

I reached the front of the line. The officer didn’t even look at me as he spoke.

“Papers, please.”
